Pack Mules, June 12 1956

It looks like varmints have eaten all of the Disneyland guests during their dangerous ride through the Living Desert. How is the trail boss going to explain this when he gets back to Rainbow Ridge? Even the coyote ("the voice of the desert") in the cave looks worried for him.

Wish I had something spooky to share today, but I don't...so I'll just wish everyone a happy Halloween!

But Major those are ghost riders on the Pack Mules...they are not empty just a bunch of Haunted Mansion spirits taking a trip on another attraction. Spooky!

Heya Dave - I've beentrying to read that sign at bottom center of the slide for years.... Any idea what it says?

Yeah, the ghosts are checking the park out, thinking about moving in. It'll take 'em a few years, but what's the hurry!

Tangaroa, unfortunately the sign is unreadable in this slide. It just turns into a big grainy blob when I zoom in.

Major, this is a beautiful shot. This was also one of my favorite attractions (growing up a city kid I think I enjoy any attraction where the primary source of power to make it go was, or is, an animal). I wonder if this photo was taken from a mine train early in the morning as the trail boss brings out the first mule train from the Pony Farm located over the berm in the background. I guess I would like to think it is. Keep up the great work!

How I wish I could have done this!
