The Mark Twain, 1956

I love this photo! The Mark Twain is steaming around Tom Sawyer Island (where else would it go?), and a happy guest is waving at her companion. The island itself looks like it's undergoing some major work. Is that the Main Street Station in the distance (near the woman's hand)? Sure looks like it to me. And there's a boat of some kind with a lone occupant. This is a rare view of the unpopular Disneyland Dinghy! ;-)

I know this is a lame post, but hey, it's 1:43 in the morning.

You forgot to mention the rare Tom Sawyer Island attraction- the Porta Pottie!! Very nice image with the action of the lady waving!

If you're refering to that mass on the right, I believe that's where Indian village is, current day Splash Mountain "splash out".

And the building in the back near the lady's hand is that restaurant that borders Main Street and Adventureland... I always forget its name.

Those animatronic ducklings are amazing! Probably cost to much to maintain. LOL
